Old Skills – New Life

We are presently compiling a portfolio of tutors to facilitate workshop planning.

Initially we will be asking our tutors to hold three or four workshops at advanced skills levels, to be held over the course of 12 months. Two or more tutors in each discipline may be engaged to cause less disruption to individual tutor’s work schedules, as well as to provide participants with varying approaches.

The Balingup Academy’s vision is to engage strongly ethical tutors whose standards and creative mastery will inspire in course participants the desire to achieve that excellence of mastery themselves. In turn, this will reward tutors with the satisfying knowledge that their input is birthing resilient, strong, self-reliant communities able to productively and resourcefully confront the future challenges of a politically and environmentally challenging world.

Participants in Balingup Academy courses will be supported in the future development of ‘cottage industries’, thus making rural communities less dependent on urban centres.
